| The brief for this project was
to provide a contemporary chair for domestic and contract
use with marked hommage payed to an historic icon. Thus
the choice was made to explore the modern potential of
moulded plywood, first introduced by Herman Miller and
Fritz Hansen in the 1940s. The result was a stacking chair
in veneer and laquered finishes with a flexible seat back.
Variable section thickness was introduced for the first
time to the mould plywood parts, combining originality
and refinement. |
