Born in England in 1968, he studied industrial design at Manchester Polytechnic before moving to Milan in 1992 to work under Antonio Citterio for clients including Vitra, Ansorg, Tisettanta and Arclinea. Since opening his own studio in 1996 he has conducted research for Future Concept Lab in Milan, has taught at the Istituto Europeo di Design in Milan and has worked as a design consultant for Minotti Cucine kitchen manufacturers and for the Domus Academy Research Center on strategic projects for Guzzini and 3M. He is art director for the lighting producer Segno, for whom he has also designed a number of products. He has also designed products for Porro, Dessié and Felicerossi. He lives and works in Milan, Italy.
